Proof of DeliveryPOD
A document signed by the receiver confirming the load was delivered. Required to bill the broker or shipper.
Proof of Delivery (POD) is the signed document — usually the BOL with the consignee's signature — proving the load arrived. Brokers and shippers won't pay until they have a clean POD on file.
Modern fleets capture PODs digitally: the driver photographs the signed BOL through the driver app at delivery, and the system auto-generates the invoice with the POD attached. This compresses days of paperwork into minutes.
